"take my heart, it is Thine own. It shall be thy royal throne."

because at Youth Conference, I pledged my heart to the Lord. And I didn’t realize the next words were “It shall be Thy royal throne. It shall be Thy royal throne.” Here we are learning about the Kingdom of God, and how we are subjects in that Kingdom! This needs more meditation and reflection. Because in Psalm 27,

….starts with a focusing of the heart of God’s face.

When You said, “Seek My face,”

My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

….heart assurance that the Lord is with me.

My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

….a trust of the heart that grows into confidence in God

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the LORD
In the land of the living.

…..a prayer for strength of the heart.

Wait on the LORD;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the LORD!

here we go, another semester, another round of friends, another round of books, another round of GRACE. one has gone and come so fast, and I think last sem, what I failed to do was reflect on my day – what I’d learnt in life lessons, what I’d accomplished, and what I was looking forward to accomplish. So this year, I’m going to try: whether it be through pictures on tumblr, or throughout the day jotting in my “I am not weird” notebook (thanks Josh), or here, I want to be able to reflect. Because like I told someone today, yes it takes time, but then again how much time?

what did I learnt today?

“Oh give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good!” We give thanks from the heart, because we know who God is, and only then does true appreciation come forth. I know we will never be able to thank God enough, but am I even conscious of that throughout the day? that no matter what happens, I thank God?

What is my construct? Paul stated in Romans 5,

“Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. and not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance, and perseverance character, and character hope. now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.”

Pastor explained that Paul had a construct: a basis, and then a reason. His basis: justification; reason: by faith we have acesss to God’s grace. That, in a sense, is all that is needed for life. However, there is a ‘not only that’ part, which is that tribulations produce a spirit of perseverance, and in that persevering a certainty and strengthening of character (known not just to others but also to yourself), and at the end, a sense of hope that pervades all – even when we have to die, we rejoice in the glory of God! we rejoice that we are going into the glory of God and leaving the world behind.

so rich, these thoughts. so much meditation needed.

I know suddenly this blog is a-lookin’ like me tumblr, but it won’t be! I promise! but it’s true, pictures’ worth a thousand words man. from the very first time i went out with you, idk why i have pictures in my phone, but OH i remember now. it’s your camera. i just instagramed some of the shots we took. my shopping buddy, my prayer buddy, my laugh so hard buddy. i love you.

I know from this angle, you can only see his face and not hers, which actually looked pretty in the movie (: but this focuses on her dress. and it’s official. I want long sleeves (possibly sheer, or I’ll die of heat). a sheer back, and buttons. (: cute caramel-y looking buttons.

I don’t wanna be someone who walks away so easily
